The commonly used aluminum and aluminum alloy plates mainly consist of the following three materials: rustproof aluminum 3A21, rustproof aluminum 5A02, and hard aluminum 2A06. Rust resistant aluminum 3A21, also known as the old brand LF21, Bronze Plate is an AL-Mn alloy and is the most widely used type of rust resistant aluminum. This alloy has low strength (only higher than industrial pure aluminum) and cannot be heat treated for strengthening. Therefore, cold working methods are commonly used to improve its mechanical properties, which have high plasticity in the annealed state and good plasticity in semi cold work hardening. Cold work hardening has low plasticity, good corrosion resistance, and good weldability.
Anti rust aluminum 5A02 is the old brand LF2 series AL-Mg anti rust aluminum. Compared with 3A21, 5A02 has higher strength, especially with higher fatigue strength, plasticity, and corrosion resistance. Heat treatment cannot be strengthened, and contact welding and hydrogen atom welding have good weldability. There is a tendency to form crystal cracks during argon arc welding, Copper Products and alloys have a tendency to form crystal cracks during cold work hardening. The alloy has good machinability in both cold work hardening and semi cold work hardening states, but poor machinability in annealing state and can be polished.
